Road Course Level 5 (High-Horsepower RWD)

The final road-course standard: high power, rear-drive balance, and no unnecessary input.

01Course description

The objective. The work. The standard.

Road Course Level 5 applies the complete development path in a high-horsepower rear-wheel-drive platform. With the rear tires responsible for both acceleration and cornering demand, throttle timing directly shapes rotation, slip, tire life, and the margin available to the driver.

The course integrates advanced braking, line, rotation, power application, thermal management, and decision-making at increased pace. Performance is measured by restraint, repeatability, mechanical sympathy, and the ability to reduce demand before the car forces the decision.

Primary development areas
  • High-horsepower RWD vehicle systems
  • Fine throttle resolution and torque delivery
  • Rear-tire load and traction management
  • Power-on rotation and exit balance
  • Slip-angle control under acceleration
  • High-speed brake release and turn-in
  • Closing-speed and traffic management
  • Driver-aid strategy and intervention recognition
  • Tire, brake, and powertrain temperature management
  • Data-led performance review
  • Mechanical sympathy at sustained pace
  • Independent judgment and repeatability
